To this day, the Hellfire Club is a popular place for ghost tours and frequented by ‘paranormal investigators’.  It still holds a place deep in the psyche of many Dubliners.   Many visitors to the site who remember how the Hellfire Club once appeared on the skyline before the plantation behind grew to mask it, reported that it felt like a brooding presence, and that they would often dare each other to spend a night there as children.

We didn’t experience anything too untoward ourselves.  Although one morning we arrived in to find a bible next to the trench, a little eerie but probably nothing much to worry about… right?
